Women between the urban and rural area – The success story
The workshop and presentation will be held in Bar Area 3D of the European Parliament under the patronage of MEP Jozo Radoš (ALDE), RUMRA Vice-Chair.
The guest speakers will be MEP Mercedes Bresso (S&D), RUMRA Chair, MEP Franc Bogovič (EPP), RUMRA Vice-Chair, MEP Isabella de Monte (S&D), rapporteur of the INI report on “New challenges and concepts for the promotion of tourism in Europe”, and Mrs Vjekoslava Damjanovič, representative of the Delegation of Community College Sesvete.
The aim of the workshop is to present the successful story of women (most of them being unemployed) from rural areas, who organized themselves and started hand-made production of Croatian jewelry with the goal of protecting non-agricultural products from Croatian rural areas.
Please note that the exhibition with photos of the jewelry will be on display 14-18 March in the European Parliament Bar Area 3D.
