Euromontana commits to making mountains attractive and resilient in the face of social, economic and environmental transitions

In October 2022, more than 150 mountain stakeholders from all over Europe gathered in Camigliatello Silano in Calabria, Italy, to take part in the 12th European Mountain Convention on “Smart mountains: how to make our territories attractive and future oriented”. As a main outcome of the Convention, the Sila Declaration was co-developed to give shape to the mountains of the future.
Euromontana and its members are committed to bring the vision of the Sila Declaration to European, national, regional and local policy makers in order to increase mountain communities’ quality of life and to take the mountains on board of the current and future transitions.
